Hey everyone!
Sorry for taking so long to update the blog, but we've been busy, in and out of civilization learning a lot of new things. We left to spend our Easter out in the Kalahari desert, the largest desert in all of Southern Africa. That was a really exciting and interesting time for us! It was full of new challenges, learning more things about the culture and especially the food! We started off by eating cow and sheep's intestines as well as liver, which apparently is food for kings! I guess we must be really lucky! We were able to get deep into the Botswana culture by learning how to cook some typical food one lunch, for about 80 people or more! We had a chance to cut up goat, cook it and it eat! It is very unusual for men to cook, so when David and Luc helped out with the food the girls gave some strange looks!
We celebrated Easter as a team one night, going on a hunt to find some "nice" food. We managed to find crackers, chips, suckers and some pop. So Easter turned out pretty good!
We moved on from the conference to spend some time in Kaudwane, which wasn't too far from where we were originally staying. We helped out a local pastor there, who was incredibly kind! We even had a chance to go visit and learn from the bush people, the indigenous people of Botswana. We saw how to get water from plants in the ground, and we sung for them(the recorded us!).
We came back from the Kalahari after a wonderful eight hour journey in the back of a cramped pick up truck, dusty and all! But we were safe and sound, and that is what mattered the most! We've been in Laboste ever since, helping out an American friend we have here. We've been doing local childrens ministry with her, playing games, telling some Bible stories. The children are a lot of fun, but they have very hard lives.
We were supposed to go to another town, Kanye, for four days, but that hasn't worked out, so we've been here instead. Tomorrow we will be going to a wedding, which is very exciting! It lasts from 10am till 8pm! You just show up for the two hour ceremony and then have fun and eat a lot of food for the remaining 8 hours!
Next week we are off for some rest and relaxation at a game resort not far from here! And then it's off to South Africa to continue ministry for a week before we head on back to Norway!

Please pray for Marianne B, she has an injured foot and she can't walk much so she hasn't been as involved in ministry the past while unfortunately. Also pray for communication within the team, that we are able to be effective until we leave and that we will be open to what God wants done here. Pit stop on our way back from the Kalahari
